SoCal Camp is a summer camp for students from 6th-12th grade.
How are the rooming situations?
Students will be staying in dorms with bunk beds. The dorms are separated by gender, and leaders will be assigned to each dorm. Dorms will also be designated by age group; Middle School students will be assigned to bunks with Middle Schoolers, and the same for High School students.
What do the students need to bring?
We ask that all students bring a small suitcase and a personal bag only. For more details on what to bring see the "Packing List" below in our resources.
Are cell phones/ devices allowed at camp?
Like most camps, we strongly encourage campers to leave cell phones and devices at home but leave the final decision to each church's Youth Leader/ Director. Our goal is not to enforce unnecessary rules but to eliminate distractions so students can fully engage and experience all that God has for them while at the same time realizing that students may use their devices for YouVersion, note-taking, and taking pictures. Regardless, we ask that all students honor their leaders by following the guidelines they set.
What not to bring:
All handheld games are prohibited, as well as drugs, alcohol, firearms, tobacco, vapes, knives, and fireworks.
How do I contact a camper? How does a camper contact me?
We recommend you get the contact info of your home church's Youth Leader should you need to contact your camper. If your student needs to contact you, any leader at SoCal Camp will have a phone they can use.
